2.4GHz band wireless communication module complies with ISA100

The LBBA0ZZ1EU, Murata’s 2.4GHz-band wireless communication module, has been certified to be ISA100 Wireless compliant.

The International Society of Automation (ISA) Standards Committee developed the ISA100 Wireless standard to reflect the needs of industrial market users and to assure a standard of performance in wireless components. Measures include high reliability, diversity of applications, and network expandability as well as a high level of compatibility with FOUNDATION fieldbus, HART, PROFIBUS and other wired communication standards.

Manufacturing plants deploy numerous devices for measuring temperatures, pressures, levels (of liquids), gas concentrations and vibration. Communication between this type of field device and the systems that are used for monitoring and control is important in order to collect data relating to productivity and safety. As such, there is a rising demand for reliable, easy to install wireless field devices.

This communication module will make it easier to introduce wireless field devices and systems.

Mass production started in May 2016.
