NVIDIA rolled the world’s first GPUs based on its Ada Lovelace architecture, the RTX 40 Series. The GPUs deliver up to 4x the performance of earlier generations, necessary for gamers and fully simulated worlds. The company calls it a new era of real-time ray tracing and neural rendering that uses AI to generate pixels.
Also announced was the NVIDIA DLSS 3 a Deep Learning Super Sampling neural-graphics technology for games and creative apps that can generate entire frames independently for massively faster gameplay.
The technology will be used in Unity and the Unreal Engine and has support from many of the world’s leading game developers. More than 35 games and apps will be coming soon.
Innovations include:
- Streaming multiprocessors
- Third-generation RT Cores
- Fourth-generation Tensor Cores
- Shader Execution Reordering
- Ada Optical Flow Accelerator
- Architectural Improvements
- Dual NVIDIA Encoders
