Microsoft and Google Search are Duking it Out
Microsoft is betting the farm on AI and revamping its Bing search engine and Edge web browser with artificial intelligence. It’s pouring billions into AI in a move to take on Alphabet Inc’s Google.
Generative AI can create virtually any text or image. The success of ChatGPT and its human-like responses provide new ways to write and query information online.
The new Bing search engine is live in a limited preview on desktop computers and will be available for mobile devices shortly. It will be powered by AI and run on a new model more powerful than ChatGPT. A chatbot will refine queries and provide relevant up-to-date results.
The question is, does Bing, far behind Google in search market share, have a chance to take the lead?
