From Cybertruck to the DeLorean: The Automotive Industry’s Top 10 Most Anticipated Electric Vehicles

Automotive industry experts at Rerev recently conducted a study analyzing Google search data to find out the most anticipated electric cars over the past two months. Tesla’s Cybertruck emerged as the most awaited electric vehicle with 1,854,710 monthly searches, followed by the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV with 231,510 monthly searches.

Jeep Avenger, which recently earned the title of European Car of the Year 2023, is the brand’s first-ever electric vehicle and ranks third in the search rankings with a search volume of 173,480. Audi A6 E-Tron and Kia EV9 follow closely with search volumes of 128,690 and 79,490, respectively.

Lucid Gravity, BMW i5, Rolls-Royce Spectre, and Porsche Macan EV round out the top 10 most anticipated electric cars with monthly search volumes of 68,820, 68,670, 61,150, and 37,490, respectively. The study found that car enthusiasts eagerly await these upcoming electric vehicles based on their search volumes and trends.

The study encompasses data ranging from Tesla’s Cybertruck to the DeLorean Alpha5, the successor to the renowned DeLorean DMC from the “Back to the Future” movies. The DeLorean Alpha5 is the brand’s first new design after 40 years and closes the list with 14,700 monthly searches, taking the 10th and final position in the rankings.

5. Kia EV9 featuring the brand’s “Boundless for all” philosophy, comes in at 79,490 searches monthly
6. Lucid Gravity’s gravity-defying model has a monthly search volume of 68,820
7. BMW i5, the midsize luxury SUV has 68,670 searches per month
8. Rolls-Royce Spectre, the luxury car brand, has fixed its place in the top 10 with 61,150 queries a month
9. Porsche Macan, the iconic German car maker, comes with 37,490 avg monthly searches
10. DeLorean Alpha5, the iconic brand’s first after 40 years, has a 14,700 search volume.
