ADR3625: Precision, Micropower, High Current Output Voltage Reference
The ADR3625, ADR3630, and ADR3650 combine low power requirements with high precision. These components stand as a superior replacement to standard low dropout (LDO) regulators, offering electrical engineers a resourceful solution to their design and operational needs.
With a maximum temperature coefficient of 3 ppm/°C for the B grade, these voltage references offer remarkable thermal stability. Furthermore, the components can source up to 70 mA, providing substantial current output for various applications. Adding to the list of benefits, the ADR3625, ADR3630, and ADR3650 exhibit a low quiescent current of 65 μA and an even lower shutdown current of 1.5 μA, making them highly energy efficient.
These devices stand out for their precision, displaying maximum initial output voltage errors of just ±0.04% (B grade) and ±0.08% (A grade). Ensuring compatibility with a wide range of systems, these voltage references have a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, and can tolerate a maximum input voltage of 16 V.
The ADR3625, ADR3630, and ADR3650 come in an 8-Lead MSOP package, facilitating their integration into compact designs. They prove suitable for a wide range of applications, from precision power supplies and portable instrumentation to medical instrumentation and auto battery monitors.
To maximize accuracy, these voltage references utilize Analog Devices, Inc.’s proprietary DigiTrim® technology, allowing for fine-tuned output voltage and temperature coefficient during production. The low thermal hysteresis (7 ppm) and low long-term drift (160 ppm at 3500 Hr) of these devices improve system lifetime accuracy.
In essence, the ADR3625, ADR3630, and ADR3650 represent an ideal balance of precision, power-efficiency, and high current output, specifically engineered to meet the rigorous demands of modern electrical engineering applications.
