All Smartphone Users Really Want is Decent Battery Life
While we prepare for Mobile World Congress with buzz of foldable smartphones and 5G everything, Morning Consult revealed results from a survey of smartphone users. It turns out, smartphone users are pretty simple — all they really want is a phone that won’t die.
The survey, conducted last November, asked two samples of 1,000 smartphone owners about how they go about purchasing smartphones.
What did the group consider the most important factors when making a decision?
- Battery Life (95%)
- Ease-of-use (93%)
- Memory Storage Size (90%)
- Durability (88%)
At the Bottom of the List
It turns out that only 30% of smartphone users were concerned with more advanced features like augmented and virtual reality tools, 33% cared about facial recognition capabilities, and 37% wanted to know about digital wellness tools to track phone usage.
This is not the first time we’ve heard this ask from consumers. Back in 2014, IDC revealed results of a 50,000-person survey that showed the exact same thing.
