Having just written a news piece on Canada not making significant changes in their supply chains post-pandemic, I had to smile at finding this news.
Canada is facing alcohol shortages ahead of the holidays—you guessed it, because of supply chain issues. The issues cited are production, transportation, and demand, which I imagine is very high.
Canadian wineries, distilleries, and breweries encourage people to buy locally as the backlog involves imports. Labor shortages, lower production due to natural disasters in wine-producing regions, and the scarcity of bottles, caps, and cans are all listed as culprits.
So, Canadians, shop early…if you haven’t already missed the opportunity.
