Capacitors combine the advantages of electrolytic and polymer capacitors
Conrad Business Supplies has begun to stock Panasonic Automotive and Industrial Systems Europe’s series of EEH-ZA and EEH-ZC hybrid capacitors. These capacitors combine the advantages of electrolytic capacitors with those made of solid polymer. Their resistance against high temperature and vibration makes them ideal for use in specified automotive and industrial applications. In these areas, hybrid capacitors have proved themselves highly universal and reliable components.
These very compact, hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitors have a long lifespan, high durability and a low leakage current. They offer high ripple current resistance, while the internal loss resistance (ESR) is only 20mΩ. The capacitors are suitable for use at high temperatures; for example, the ZC capacitors reach a lifespan of 4,000 hours at 125°C. The operating temperature range of the ZA series is between -55 and 105°C while the ZC series capacitors are specified from -55 to 125°C.
All capacitors comply with the AEC-Q200 standard and are suitable for use in high humidity environments. The surface mountable EEH capacitors are made of conductive polymer. Their rated capacities are between 10 and 330μF. The maximum voltage is between 25 and 63VDC.
Peter Müller, Head of Product Group (Switches, Passive Components, Enclosures, PCBs, Fuses) at Conrad Business Supplies, stated: “These versatile capacitors are space-saving and are ideally suited for harsh industrial and automotive environments. In addition, they are a cost-effective alternative to other products.”
Furthermore, the capacitors are suitable for use in filters, power converters and voltage regulators, as well as for decoupling and in clock circuits.
“The high durability and low ESR make the EEH capacitors ideal for a variety of applications in a wide range of markets, so that high flexibility and outstanding product quality can be achieved,” said Andreas Lapucha, Product Marketing Manager Capacitors at Panasonic.
