Conrad Business Supplies to present at Embedded World 2018
Conrad Business Supplies will once again exhibit at Embedded World in Nuremberg (27 February – 1 March 2018). At its 100m² booth in Hall 3, Stand 145, the distributor will present its technical expertise as well as product and solution offerings for embedded and programmable technologies, test and measurement, soldering technology and 3D printing to trade visitors from research and development departments as well as embedded designers.
Conrad Business Supplies will use this year’s Embedded World to demonstrate interesting product highlights from its own in-house team at the Conrad Technologie Centrum (CTC). This year’s highlight from the range of exclusive in-house developments is the new 3D printer RF2000 V2 with dual-extruder technology. Visitors can experience live demonstrations of this 3D printer.
Compared to its predecessor, the 3D printer RF2000 V2 offers a revised object ventilation for improved print quality as well as an enlarged printing area of 180x260x185mm (x, y, z axis). A redesigned print bed also provides ideal print results for the RF2000 V2 with the latest V3 hotend, even for demanding print models. In addition to numerous other improvements, the new device is now also available as a single-extruder version.
As another highlight, Conrad Business Supplies will show and demonstrate the new TOOLCRAFT high-frequency soldering station. Compared to conventional solutions, the high-frequency soldering stations can be used to achieve better and faster soldering results for large solder pads that require a high amount of heat or energy.
Conrad Business Supplies will also demonstrate the C-Control Hexapod robot board. It enables the development of a Hexapod robot and allows for many additional combination possibilities with various microcontroller boards such as the Arduino UNO and single board computers like the Raspberry Pi. As a sample application visitor can see live at the stand the ‘Spider’, an in-house development from the Conrad Technologie Centrum. Utilizing the Hexapod board it is combined with the STMicroelectronics’ Nucleo Board. This robot will also be shown at STMicroelectronics’ booth (FAN ZONE area) in Hall 4A-238.
At Conrad Business Supplies’ booth, live lectures are being held daily by leading component manufacturers, including Panasonic, Würth Elektronik, and partners such as Google and Youki discussing blockchain technology. Conrad’s own topics, for example Conrad B2B Marketplace (which already offers 1.2 million products), will be explained.
In addition, visitors at Conrad’s booth have the opportunity to see product demonstrations from companies such as Texas Instruments, Digilent, 4D Systems, Flir and National Instruments. Visitors can also interact with Conrad’s experts and get to know Conrad Business Supplies’ range of services – such as the PCB service from partner Eurocircuits which now also offers a PCB component placement service.
During the trade fair, visitors can receive more information about the Conrad B2B Marketplace from staff at the booth. Visitors also have the opportunity to enquire about possible participation as sellers as well as learning more about the easy order process through the Marketplace.
Visitors who simply want to know more about Conrad’s range of components will find the 2,800 page catalogue ‘Forschung & Entwicklung 2017/18’ (Research & Development 2017/18) a comprehensive reference guide about components and accessories. The book is available as a trial copy and can be ordered directly at the exhibition booth.
“Embedded World has established itself as an indispensable showcase for the embedded and related industries for many years and is one of the most important B2B trade fairs for us”, said Stefan Fuchs, Vice President Business Supplies at Conrad. “We will use this opportunity again this year to show developers the latest trends from our range of services.”
