DC/DC converters for use in industrial applications offer 93% efficiency
Gresham Power Electronics the Salisbury based defense and sommercial power conversion specialist, announces the availability two new series of DC/DC converters from Polytron Devices for use in industrial and railway applications.
The QB100 and QB150 series boast 100 and 150W ratings, respectively, feature a 4:1 ultra-wide input range and operating temperature of -40 to +110°C
The QB100 series offers high efficiency up to 93% and is delivered in a compact 2.28×1.45×0.50” quarter brick package. The QB150 series, available in the same size package, offers efficiency up to 92%.
Both converters feature remote control, no minimum load requirement and low standby power consumption; are CE marked and meet UL60950-1, EN60950-1 and IEC 60950-1 safety standard and are compliant with RoHS II and Reach guidelines.
Nominal input voltages are 24VDC (8.5 to 36VDC), 48VDC (16.5 to 75VDC) and 110VDC (40 to 160VDC) with single output voltages over the range 3.3 to 110VDC.
Jake Moir, Managing Director of Gresham Power, commented: “Railway equipment and many industrial applications are required to operate in extreme weather conditions and from unregulated power sources. The QB100 and QB150DC/DC converters are designed to provide stable system power output in these demanding environments while being compact and cost effective.”
