DOE’s Office of Science Graduate Student Research Program (SCGSR) Soliciting Applications
The Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Office of Science is soliciting applications for its 2022 Solicitation 2 cycle.
The DOE recently selected 44 graduate students for its Office of Science Graduate Student Research program’s 2022 Solicitation 1 cycle. The students represent 24 states and will access state-of-the-art facilities, world-class training, and resources at DOE National Laboratories to prepare them to enter jobs of critical importance.
“The Department of Energy is committed to growing the American science and technology workforce. SCGSRs are one way we contribute to nurturing the incredible talent and curiosity in students from all walks of life to meet the great scientific challenges of the world,” said Asmeret Asefaw Berhe, Director of the DOE Office of Science.
Independent science experts selected awardees on merit from institutions around the country.
Applications for the 2022 Solicitation 2 cycle are due by 5:00 pm EST, November 9th, 2022. Here is a list of the SCGSR Program’s priority research areas.
The DOE is holding an application assistance workshop on October 20th, 2022. Graduate students currently pursuing Ph.D. degrees in physics, chemistry, material sciences, biology (non-medical), mathematics, engineering, computer or computational sciences, or specific areas of environmental sciences can apply.
