Equus Compute Solutions partners with HGST to provide storage solutions
Equus Compute Solutions, the largest U.S. manufacturer of custom computer hardware systems to the channel, has partnered with HGST to offer their line of JBOF (Just a Bunch of Flash) All – Flash Storage systems.
Gartner estimates that by 2020, 50% of data centers will use only Solid State Arrays for primary data. The HGST 2U24 Flash Storage Platforms are designed for Software-Defined Storage (SDS) infrastructures. These innovative JBOF (Just a Bunch Of Flash) systems balance performance with capacity, delivering high IOPS, and low latency at up to 184TB capacity. The HGST JBOF systems are a cost-effective way to jumpstart the migration to an All Flash data center migration.
There are two 2U24 chassis configurations: the SATA-based chassis supports up to 24 CloudSpeed Gen II 2.5” SSD modules for up to 46TB capacity, and the SAS3 chassis supports 24 Ultrastar 2.5” SSDs for up to 184TB. Both systems can start with as few as 12 SSDs and upgrade one additional SSD module at a time. Key features include up to six 12Gb/s SAS3 connections to the host system, that supports up to 4.7M IOPS with <1ms latency. A five-year warranty is standard on all HGST JBOF systems.
