After team Wareable along with esteemed judges deliberated long and hard, the Fitbit Alta HR was chosen as 2017’s Wearable of the Year.
As well as picking up Fitness Tracker of the Year, the Alta HR picked up the biggest prize at the second Wareable Tech Awards ceremony held at Shoreditch Town Hall, London where we the best wearable and smart home tech devices that launched in the past twelve months were celebrated.
Fitbit’s updated version of the Alta, brought heart rate monitoring to its slimmest device yet and was chosen for playing to Fitbit’s strengths and showcasing the best of its fitness tracking abilities.
When the Alta HR was reviewed back in May, it scored a four out of five stars and was praised for that slim, customizable design, great sleep insights and its heart rate monitoring skills. While this was the year that Fitbit launched the Ionic, its first smartwatch, it was the Alta HR that really impressed the most out of the new Fitbit wearables.
Other winners on the night included the Apple Watch Series 3 beating the Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon to Smartwatch of the Year. The Garmin Forerunner 935 was named Sports Watch of the Year while the Bragi Dash Pro was our Hearable of the Year.
