For $99 You Can Turn Your Smartphone Into A 3D Printer

Yes, we are telling you that 3D printing technology has been at your fingertips this entire time.

 Last week at World Maker Faire in New York, a company called Solido3D unveiled the OlO 3D Printer, but it was no ordinary 3D printer.

The Rome-based company wanted to make 3D printing accessible and affordable for everyone, so it developed a device capable of turning just about any smartphone into a 3D printing factory.

The OLO device contains a reservoir, a special photopolymer resin, and a lid that contains the build plate and electronics. There is also a place for you to place your phone at the bottom.

The printer runs on batteries, works with a free mobile app, and uses photopolymer technology to create small-sized objects (7.6 cm x 12.7 cm x 5 cm). The accompanying app lights up your phone screen and hardens the resin to create your printed goods.
