Japanese company unveils smartphone you can wash with soap and water
We use our smartphones so often that it’s hard to believe they aren’t covered in layers of filth and germs. Even if they’re waterproof, there’s very little we can do as users to keep them completely germ-free.
Japanese mobile phone company, Kyocera, has come up with a solution: give your phone a bath. Sounds strange?
The company has just released a cellphone so waterproof (and soap-proof) that users can completely submerge it in water and lather it up to keep it clean. The Digno Rafre phone can be used in hot water, in the bathroom.
The phone will be available in Japan only for about $450. So far, the company has not revealed whether or not it will bring the soap-resistant technology to the U.S.
