LIGHTFAIR International returns to Philadelphia in 2019
LIGHTFAIR International, the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference, returns to Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania Convention Center in 2019 for its 30th annual staging May 19-23, according to Jeffrey L. Portman, Sr., chairman, chief executive officer and president of LFI managing partner AmericasMart Atlanta.
Produced annually, LFI was last held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in 2017. LFI’s 2019 return to Philadelphia will follow its 2018 showing in Chicago at McCormick Place, May 6-10. LIGHTFAIR 2017 set all-new records at the Pennsylvania Convention Center May 7-11 with the largest trade show floor and largest Philadelphia registration. The trade show encompassed 277,600 net square feet housing 592 exhibitors, including 59 first-time exhibiting companies and 127 manufacturers headquartered outside the U.S. LIGHTFAIR 2017’s registration of 27,939 topped the 2016 total and posted a 7.4% increase over the 2013 Philadelphia registration total. Registered attendees represented 81 countries.
“Philadelphia’s continuing emergence as a center of design, architecture and innovation sets the perfect stage for LIGHTFAIR’s 2019 presentation of all that is new and next in lighting and technology products, ideas and thought leadership,” noted Portman. “We fully expect the LFI business and brand to flourish in a setting so well aligned with the needs and aspirations of our global customer base.”
LIGHTFAIR International brings the industry’s newest and most advanced products and technologies to a global attendee population of lighting designers, specifiers, architects, consultants and engineers from around the world.
Throughout the trade show floor, exhibitors showcase exclusive introductions and a large spectrum of solutions such as LEDs, OLEDs, luminaires, energy-efficient products, IoT (Internet of Things), intelligent lighting, alternative energy, solar power, decorative, controls, software, digital signage, healthcare and hospitality.
