Now You Can Buy A $1,000 Wireless, Touch-Controlled Speaker (If You Really Want One)
If you were considering investing in some new wireless speakers, audio company Bang & Olufsen has just released a speaker that looks a lot like a flexible seat cushion and can be yours for just $1,000.
The BeoPlay A6‘s unique shape positions its five speaker units to ensure that you receive the best sound, regardless of where you are in relation to the speaker.
“In a way I have designed BeoPlay A6 the same way I design a piece of furniture, however here form follows sound and interaction. Its intuitive yet surprising shape always “plays to you” no matter where you are and generates a much more intimate relationship than you would normally get from a conventional music system,” said BeoPlay A6 designer Jakob Wagner.
The speaker system can be controlled manually by swiping your hand on it or via mobile device and linked with other B&O products to enhance the music experience in each room of your house.
If you’re interested, you can purchase one at Bang & Olufsen stores (or on the company’s website) and in department stores October 19th.
