Sony To Unveil AITRIOS Edge AI Sensing Platform

The AITRIOS platform lets retail customers and partners visualize and capture the physical world of brick-and-mortar to enable AI predictions and solve problems, including on-shelf availability, planogram compliance, staffing, merchandising, and store operation optimization.

The platform provides the tools, software development kits, and development environment designed to drop costs, reduce complexity, improve time-to-market, increase measurable ROI, and provide advanced privacy controls.

Sony is simultaneously launching its Console Enterprise Edition, a fee-based service on the AITRIOS platform, in the U.S. and Japan. The console delivers functions for implementing vision-based AI solutions spanning the edge and cloud, including retraining AI models, deploying sensing apps and AI models on edge sensors, collecting data from edge sensors, and monitoring edge sensors. It will also be available in select European countries during the year’s first quarter.

AITRIOS-compatible AI cameras equipped with SSS’s IMX500 intelligent vision sensor with AI processing capabilities are now available in the U.S. More manufacturers and models will be added in the future.
