Subminiature connectors are sealed against water ingress

A new range of environmentally-sealed D-Subminiature connectors from TE Connectivity is now available to European customers through TTI, Inc. The AMPLIMITE D-subminiature range features grommet sealing on the wire-entry and a one-piece interfacial seal on the mating face, as well as internal sealing. They provide excellent protection against dust and water ingress and exceed IP67 performance levels, having been fully tested to a depth of 1m.

Available in two series – Series 109 standard-density with size 20 contacts (AWG 24 – 20), and Series 90 high density, using size 22 contacts (AWG 28-22) – AMPLIMITE cable connectors meet MIL-DTL-24308 and are fully intermateable with standard D-subminiature interconnects.   Physical specifications include copper alloy contacts plated gold over nickel and cadmium-plated steel shells, with stainless-steel retention clips for added security. Electrical characteristics are current rating 5A for the Size 22 contacts and 7.5A for the Size 20 contact ranges.
