TacoBot is a new way to order Taco Bell using AI
While online ordering isn’t a new thing, ordering tacos by talking to a Taco Bell robot is. The taco chain introduced its newest development, TacoBot, which employs artificial intelligence to help you order faster.
With the help of Slack, a messaging platform that’s making its way into workplaces everywhere to make working with groups more efficient, Taco Bell is letting customers interact with its robot by asking it questions about the menu or even just chatting with the bot. Once users connect to their ta.co account, they can choose a pick-up location and order up favorite Taco Bell items.
Tacobot is currently in private beta mode and preparing for a full roll-out. The company has enlisted the help of those at Giphy, FullScreen, Thought Catalog, FoodBeast, and SAV Studios to help TacoBot grow into a complete taco-ordering AI robot.
“The TacoBot Slack integration is the latest step on our journey to make the brand more accessible wherever and whenever our fans want it. Taco Bell is about food tailor-made for social consumption with friends, and that’s why integrating with a social communications platform like Slack makes perfect sense,” said Lawrence Kim, Director of Digital Innovation and On-demand, Taco Bell.
